Eugenio Jedi Martinez is not just another virtuoso Guitar Player, he is a complete and original artist who has developed his own style and sound.
Besides mastering the guitar as his main instrument with incredible versatility through a variety of styles and music genres, Eugenio Jedi Martinez can play really well many other strings instruments such as Electric Oud, Bouzouki, Sitar, Mandolin, Ukulele, Bass Guitars, and more. The exciting world of rhythm, explosive beats and percussion sounds are also very present in Eugenio’s music and live performances as he is a talented percussionist as well (on Darbuka, Bongos, Congas, Djembe, HandPans and Electronic Percussion instruments).
His Solo Show is based on instrumental guitars, other strings instruments and Live Looping techniques (the art of recording layers upon layers live in real-time in front of an audience to create an entire performance). He adds beats, drum and hand percussion sounds using different electronic percussion & drum pads to create a fuller sound (One Man Band). Eugenio has a large repertoire performing mostly original compositions; in the same time he can spoil his audience with a lot of guitar challenging covers.
He has been influenced and inspired among many other guitar players by Al di Meola, Paco de Lucia, John Mclaughlin, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and iconic musicians such as J.S Bach, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Niccolo Paganini, Django Reinhard and Jean Michel Jarre. His catchy and very personal style of playing has once been described as flamenco rock, having all the beautiful Classical, Spanish, Jazzy and (acoustic) Rock elements (Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rush, The Eagles, Nirvana, Metallica and more) alive in his music and mixed together as one.
While his impressive, brilliant and unmatched technical skills, walls & fountains of sounds, harmonies and heart breaking solos are blowing away his audiences, he is currently working on a new CD album Return to Paradise, performing at gigs and festivals and doing music production work ( mixing, mastering, and collaborations with various musicians ).
